One of my good friends has Diabetes and she doesn't let it slow her down. Here is the WEBSITE you can visit to find out more on Change For The Children Foundation. http://www.changeforthechildren.org/ also here is an article that Nick Jonas wrote about his diagnosis in 2005.
We started The Change for the Children Foundation to support programs that motivate and inspire children to face adversity with confidence, determination and a will to succeed. And we think the best people to help children are their peers -- kids helping other kids who are a little less fortunate.

D-Vision is a big part of our Change for the Children Foundation and its goal is to support people with Diabetes and help raise money to raise awareness, do research and find a cure.
In November 2005, I found out that I had Type 1 Diabetes. A month or two before I was diagnosed, I began to notice the usual symptoms: losing weight, the bad attitude, being thirsty, going to the bathroom all the time. I lost about fifteen pounds in two to three weeks, and it was just insane. I had a terrible attitude, which was totally odd for me because I’m actually a nice person. Especially being on the road around people all the time, you have to keep that positive energy going. And it was hard.
I took some time off from our tour to see a doctor, who packed me off to the hospital immediately when she heard my symptoms. My blood sugar was over 700. For someone who had no bad medical history ever to suddenly have the shock of diabetes was a bit overwhelming in itself, and then I had to learn all about it, learn all these things in such a short period of time. All of it was crazy. I also wondered if I could continue making music, but I had the support of my friends and the band to be there with me. My dad was back at home with my three other brothers, but my mom stayed at the hospital with me every night.
In March 2007, almost a year and a half after my diagnosis, I publicly announced that I have diabetes at Carnival For a Cure. I knew I wanted to go public and that seemed like the right time. I guess I wanted to kind of get “comfortable” with my diabetes before telling the world about it.
I found it amazing just how many people know somebody with diabetes or have diabetes themselves. We’d get these stories about how some of the kids were really afraid to tell their friends and how my situation gave them courage to do that. The fact that I’m able to have somewhat of a spotlight to share my story, I just feel blessed. I carry a supply of guitar picks in my pocket, and whenever I meet another “diabetic buddy” as I call them, I give them a pick, a cool little thing.
I appreciate that I have a platform to be able to share my story. I have this passion to be able to share with young people my age and be a positive light in a situation that might not be so positive. I’ve heard stories about kids who were in depression because after they got diagnosed they were just so upset about what was going on. That just touched my heart, and I wanted to be able to do something about it. I hope that I can be that positive light.
I know that Diabetes is a huge part of my life and I can’t just forget about it, obviously. I have to keep taking care of it and managing it, and learning more things about it. Hopefully one day they’ll come up with some type of cure, and I hope I’ll be one of the first to know about it.
To anyone out there who has been diagnosed, don’t let it slow you down at all. I made a promise to myself on the way to the hospital that I wouldn’t let this thing slow me down and I’d just keep moving forward, and that’s what I did. Just keep a positive attitude and keep moving forward with it. Don’t be discouraged.
So that’s my story and what D-Vision is all about. I have a chance to help others in my situation. Thanks for taking the time to learn and for any support you can give.
Thanks,Nick
P.S. You might know the song “A Little Bit Longer.” I wrote it on one of those days when my blood sugar was a little out of control and I was kind of bumming. I walked by this room we were staying at, and it was so weird – all of a sudden there was this big ballroom with a piano in it. So I went in there, sat down at the piano and wrote the song.

Check the song out ''A Little Bit Longer'' When I first heard it I was the Hershey Park Concert and Cried it really gets to you when you hear it but if you ever get the chance to go to the concert and hear it live it has a deeper meaning.
Here is the Mission for D Vision
We started The Change for the Children Foundation to support programs that motivate and inspire children to face adversity with confidence, determination and a will to succeed. And we think the best people to help children are their peers -- kids helping other kids who are a little less fortunate.
Well, there are 1,788,643,438 people in the world between the ages of 5 and 19! (Give or take a few here and there.) But no matter what the exact number is, that's powerful. Think about it - we have the power to change the world. And that's what we're gonna do. Right here. And it's all up to YOU! "YOU Decide. YOU Donate." is the first initiative of The Change for the Children Foundation. We have selected 5 amazing charities and we're leaving it up to YOU to decide which to support.
Once YOU Decide, YOU Donate. YOU! With your money saved from your paper route, your allowance, recycled cans or maybe a loan from mom and dad (remember to pay them back! This is about YOU helping to change the world!) So, look around the site, learn about these great charities and let's make a Change for the Children. YOU Decide. YOU Donate!!! Thanks,
Nick, Kevin, and Joe
As you can see we need to be informed about Juvinile Diabets and even if you do not have Diabetes you should learn more about it.

3 GOVERNMENT BRANCHES
The Executive Branch of the Government has the President, Vice President, and all the cabinet members. The President is allowed to pass or veto a bill that the legislature sends him. The 22nd Amendment to the Constitution states that no person shall be elected to the office of the President more than twice.
Richard (Dick) B. Cheney is our Vice President of the United States. The Vice President duties: The Constitution only states that the Vice President should be prepared to take over the Presidency (if something happened to the President) and act as the President of the Senate.
There are 435 Representatives and 100 Senators all together there are 535 members of Congress. The Legislative branch, writes laws on a bill. So they can be sent to the senator then to the Representatives and finally to the President. Who can veto or sign it.
The process of creating a law starts with an idea. Ideas can come from different sources, a senator, a representative or any citizen of the United States. The process can be very complex and take a great deal of time.
The Judiciary explains and applies the laws. This branch does this by hearing and evenually making decisions on various legal cases. The Judicial Branch is in charge of the court system. There are three different kinds of courts found in the federal court system. The lowest level is the district courts. The 2nd level is the court of appeals. The top level is the Supreme Court.

ARE YOU TIRED OF THESE REPULICAN GAMES
THAN VOTE FOR OBAMA FOR CHANGE
I have other reasons why I like Brak better. For example I think it is time America needs a minority president. I am for the Demacratic party and I think that becasue of the Rebulican's our economy is going down the tubes because of Busch spending money on the war and not on the government. I belive Obama has much more to offer than Mccain and belive he will do anything for the economy.
Obama is for giving tax breaks to the poor and to smaller companies. McCain is with the bush tax break.
THAN VOTE FOR OBAMA FOR CHANGE
The Presidential Campigne of 2008
The two canadates are Brack Obama and John McCain. Brack is the canidate for the demacrat party and John is the canidate for the Reprubllican party.
If I was able to vote I would vote for Obama. There are many different reanson why I would vote for him and not John. I will discuss the issues of: Education and why I think Obama is Better.
Obama's out look on education is to offer more help to high needing schools and educate teachers so they can serve in them. It is so true because there are schools that need help finacally and need teachers to teach.
John wants to keep the law’s emphasis on standards and achievement but focus on individual achievement rather than group averages.
